Year In Industry student - Scientist

This role is for a Scientist to join our Technology Scouting Team (TSU) in Malvern, UK. In this role you will work as part of a larger team to contribute to the delivery science solutions for our new and existing scientific and industrial instrumentation products. If your application is successful, you will be welcomed into the team and experience a comprehensive induction program to help you get settled. We continue to support and develop our students by harnessing their skills, knowledge, and performance with in-house, on-the-job, and external training. Our Year in Industry students are empowered and encouraged to take on new challenges and experience a full variety of projects that form part of the everyday at Malvern Panalytical.

The Year in Industry students will fill an important role in our Research & Development and Sustaining teams.,

• An understanding of experimental planning and how to work in a laboratory environment.
• Experience of scientific programming like Python would be an advantage.
• Creative thinking - design will be at the heart of this work.
• An interest in understanding technology challenges and effectively communicating complex research topics.
• Curiosity and desire to learn - the projects are interdisciplinary.
• A scientific approach to problem solving.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills., Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Physics, Natural Science, Engineering or similar) that offers an Industrial Placement Year
• Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
