Do you have experience of being not in education, employment or training? Have you faced barriers to finding, attending or sustaining education or employment? Would you like to have your voice heard?
- The Youth Advisor team are leading change in the Employment and Skills space and are actively looking for young people who know and understand what it's like to not have a job, education or training opportunities. We know from experience that young people facing a range of challenges in life can find it more difficult to access employment, training and education and we want that to change. Our vision is that all Blackpool young people can flourish by receiving the right support, in the right place at the right time. We know that only by employing young people with living experience or lived experience can we find out what parts of the system are not working for young people and work with them to improve the situation. As a Youth Advisor, you will be at the heart of actively shaping initiatives by co-creating solutions which work for Blackpool's young people. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for ANY Blackpool young person aged 16-24, who has experience of being not in education, training or employment. We will support you in developing your skills so you can work co-productively with other professionals and young people, to improve the opportunities for yourself and the young people in Blackpool.
