Full Job Description

  • Evidence of knowledge and experience of case management with children & families - to include assessment and report writing and use of case management systems

  • Evidence of developing, planning and implementing creative and innovative interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of children & young people

  • Demonstrable experience of understanding the issues faced by vulnerable children and families with complex needs - to include awareness of the differing needs of children and knowledge of child development

  • Qualification level required - NVQ Level 3 or above AND significant experience working with children and families

  • Experience of developing, delivering, and evaluating group programmes for children

  • Knowledge and experience of gathering child's voice and how children can participate and influence decision-making

  • To contribute to the protection of children from abuse in accordance with local and national safeguarding policies, procedures and practice - to include comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child


  • You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.

    The Leicestershire Youth and Justice (Y&J) service is part of the wider Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFWS). We offer a range of statutory and non-statutory interventions for young people experiencing difficulties that cannot be supported by universal services alone.

    This post is based at Greenhill Children's Centre in NWL and the post will cover NWL and Hinckley and Bosworth. We are a very supportive and creative team of 7 youth workers, who have many different skills and
