Full Job Description

At L'Oréal, a No Waste Supply Chain Manager acts like a conductor for L'Oréal's returned and unsold products and POS, making sure that they get a second life wherever possible and nothing goes to waste!

A DAY IN THE LIFE

This dynamic role offers a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on action within our passionate Sustainability team. You'll be a key player in our No Waste ambition for FGs and POS, driving tangible change across multiple divisions. Your days will be filled with diverse challenges and opportunities:

Prevention: Collaborating with divisional teams to optimize stock management, forecast accuracy, and minimize excess inventory from the start. Implementing processes and tools and monitoring their effectiveness.

Cure: Leading innovative initiatives to remonetise at-risk stock, managing stock allocation to different channels to maximise value and clearance. Examples include managing catalogue (mix & price) for Friends & Family sales, co-ordinating Liquidation channels and activating product donation opportunities.

Analysis & Optimisation: You'll dive deep into data, analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) like bad stock percentages, sell-through rates, and the flow of products through second-life channels. Using data-driven insights, you'll present recommendations to senior management and collaborate with international counterparts to share best practices.

Outlet Supply Chain Management: This role will also incorporate responsibilities related to the new Outlet supply chain, ensuring efficient product flow and optimal stock levels in future outlet stores. This includes:

Setup: Acting as the lead for the Supply flow workstream to ensure successful flow setup of stock from Central DCs (e.g. ROYE) plus our three UKI DCs to the Outlet.

Replenishment: Managing product replenishment flows, collaborating with outlet managers on sell-out performance, and sizing needs to allocate stock effectively.

Store Operations: Ensuring the correct application of inventory processes, reception and storage procedures, and shelf replenishment. Monitoring stock accuracy and collaborating with store managers on training and process improvements.

Analysis & Communication: Analysing and sharing supply KPIs with stakeholders, assessing No Waste SC performance through field visits, and ensuring stock reconciliation between systems.

You are Supply Chain savvy with a strong understanding and experience of supply chain operations, processes, cycles, logistics and reverse logistics processes (e.g. returns), ideally with experience working with international counterparts (Zone/MSL/Global)

You are a data-driven analyser: analytical skills and a data driven approach are a must, so you can track KPIs, analyse data, and make informed strategic or tactical recommendations

You can work proactively & independently to lead projects and meetings, acting as the operations expert within a small team

You are a problem-solver, resilient, solutions-focused

You have strong project management skills, and can co-ordinate people, manage timelines, lead meeting cycles, or build out new processes

You have strong collaboration & relationship building skills to lead relationships and meetings with different divisions across key functions of supply chain, physical distribution and finance, plus Zone counterparts

You are comfortable with a dynamic, uncertain environment and are able to adapt and drive new initiatives

You have a genuine interest in or passion for minimising waste, promoting circularity and contributing to a more sustainable future

You can be a change agent: a proactive and persuasive individual who can advocate for new ideas, drive change within the organisation and inspire others to embrace sustainable practices.
