Full Job Description
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to adults in supported living environments.
- Promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with a variety of care needs.
- Support individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, household duties, budgeting, and accessing community activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care.
- Take part in team meetings, supervision sessions, and provide coaching and mentoring to Support Workers.
We seeking candidates with experience in care, particularly with learning disabilities and mental health. The ideal person is proficient in IT, a proactive "go-getter," and able to assist with cooking and daily living tasks. They should combine compassion, initiative, and practical skills to support individuals effectively. The candidate must possess either experience in a similar role or three years as a support worker., - Must have experience as a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader OR minimum of 3+ years experience as a Support Worker in an adult care setting.
- A Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable adults.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team.
