Full Job Description
- Align engineering resources with factory strategy
- Ensure planned maintenance is carried out
- Oversee a team of around 24 engineers (+ apprentices); formalise long-term development and succession plans
- Create a structured, accountable environment for maintenance activities
- Manage and track the annual maintenance budget
- Implement Asset Maintenance and TPM meldology to boost OEE and overall performance
- Analyse breakdowns and take proactive steps to prevent them from recurring
- Promote a safety-conscious environment and lead the site's carbon footprint reduction program
- Carry out Opportunity Maintenance on idle equipment
- (Future responsibility) Full Capital Investments and Project Team
Experience in a people management role within a food manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience in Chocolate an advantage - Experience working in a unionised environment
- Ideally a Degree/Diploma/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering or similar)
- Proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements, and manage budgets
- Understanding of factory operations: TPM/Lean, health & safety, employment, quality, and hygiene legislation
