Full Job Description
- Act as ambassador for the department, ensure client service levels are set, adhered to and maintained
- Actively support the Acting Head in managing the department
- Manage the team of bookkeepers including, performance management, appraisals, recruitment etc.
- Prepare weekly KPI statistics for the of department for review & discussion with Acting Head of Rural Client Finance Oversee: o Daily payment run approvals o Bank reconciliation approvals o Compliance logs o Direct Debit collections o Payroll function o Raising of fees
- Ensure suspense accounts are reviewed and cleared down on a routine (monthly) basis
- Prepare and review client rental statements
- Manage weekly task-list -and holiday cover within bookkeeping team in liaison with the Acting Head of the department
- Preparation and submission of Non-Resident Landlord Returns
- Carry out bookkeeping systems administration audits and checks
- Monitor progress of the team, supporting and mentoring where required to ensure each member of the team can give of their best
- Support the team in assisting with client queries, taking the lead as appropriate; works closely on a day-to-day basis with all members of the team
- Provide regular training and updates on processes and systems to colleagues across the wider business
- Contributes to positively to projects and proves improvements
- Work collaboratively with the Acting Head of the Department and the Head of Shared Services

- Previous experience of working in a senior bookkeeping and payroll position
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Previous experience of working to deadlines
