1. To work in a large licensed Aseptic facility that provides a wide range of products to Stockport NHS Trust and neighbouring trusts. 2. The Pharmacy Support Worker will carry out the routine preparation of all aseptically prepared drugs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice. 3. There is a requirement to carry out the technical skills necessary to perform these duties carefully and accurately, and to develop a conscientious attitude in order to provide a co-ordinated and effective service. 4. The Pharmacy Support Worker will be required to undertake on the job training to develop the necessary competence, skills and knowledge to fulfil the job., We recognise that flexible working is important. Ideally we would like you to have some experience working in a hospital pharmacy, a hospital Aseptic production unit, equivalent commercial Aseptic compounding Unit. However people without Relevant Aseptic experience may be considered as full training will be given to the successful candidate., Working within a clean room environment attention to detail, manual dexterity and the ability to work in a controlled environment for long durations is essential.

Located within the grounds of Stepping Hill hospital is Stockport Pharmaceuticals Aseptic Services unit. The unit is part of the regional NHS pharmaceutical production unit and holds Medicinal Product licenses with which the team provide a wide range of aseptic products both nationally and internally to the trust.
