Full Job Description
- To provide a comprehensive Learning and Organisation Development service to a range of customers, including our internal/external stakeholders and partners, ensuring that the service provided is focused on delivering innovative business solutions.
- This is a Learning and Development Adviser's post for services provided to the Children and Families social care sector. Post holders will, when required, be asked to work flexibly across the different topics/areas and teams within the Corporate Learning & Development Service ensuring that resources are deployed effectively in order to respond to service priorities and to facilitate professional development.
- You will be providing sound and professional high level learning and organisation development activities and advice and support as required e.g. + Developing formal and informal approaches and methods of learning, design, delivery and evaluation of learning and organisation development activities, coaching, advice, support,
- This role includes some Saturday delivery to partner agencies
- To support the achievement of the statutory and non statutory workforce development responsibilities, including assisting in the delivery of departmental Workforce Development Plans to meet the L & D needs of managers, staff and partners For information on our approach to the recruitment of ex-offenders, please see our policy statement., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments. - You will be expected to have a sound understanding of Children & Family services and our approaches with families as well as an understanding of the needs of the social care workforce and the legislative framework
- You will have had experience within children's services at practitioner level
- There is a requirement to work 3 Saturdays a year as well as some evening delivery to external partners
- You will have a relevant degree or professional qualification in social care or significant operational experience
