Full Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, caring individual who has great people skills & shows dignity and respect towards others to become a personal assistant in Skelmersdale. The role is to support a male to enable him to settle him into a daily routine and build confidence to be able to access the community. Experience of supporting individuals who have autism is desirable along with knowledge and awareness of aphasia and anxiety. Duties will include:
- Encouragement to maintain personal hygiene.
- Prompts to take medication at set intervals.
- Grocery shopping.
- Teaching basic household chores including maintaining a tidy garden.
- Occasionally supervision to open and check post.
- Encouragement to participate in daily exercise. Mainly to include walking. There is a requirement to work flexibly. "Monday to Friday working week with typically 2hrs per day, exact times per day can be negotiated." Car driver is desirable but not essential. (including proof of business cover) Further details to be discussed at interview. Must provide evidence of liability insurance, UTR number, DBS clearance and provide regular invoices, payment will be made electronically.
