Full Job Description
We are recruiting Additional Learning Support (ALS) Co-ordinator, responsible for the co-ordination of in-class support for students with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities, and other vulnerabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring our students receive the support they need to succeed. Essential Criteria:
- Relevant Level 3 qualification.
- Experience supporting learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of learning difficulties/disabilities and support strategies.
- Understanding of Child/Adult Protection issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a demanding workload. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating in-class support services for students across various programmes (Level E1 - Level 4).
- Supervise and support a team of learning support assistants.
- Act as a key contact for Looked After Children, ensuring their educational progress.
- Liaise with the ALS Coordinator and contribute to the PDPR process.
- Monitor and report on support activities, ensuring accurate records.
- Support curriculum areas with PEEPs and liaise with the Health and Safety team.
- Participate in staff meetings, student disciplinaries, and case conferences. Professional Development:
- Engage in regular CPD activities and performance reviews.
