Full Job Description
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. You will be involved in uni professional (Dietetics) and multi professional (AHP) activity across the department. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder.
The postholder must be a Practising Dietitian on the HCPC professional register and have experience of teaching and assessing skills in practice. You must hold a first degree and Masters in relevant discipline / equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline. You will have experience of working across a range of settings with patients to deliver care and rehabilitation to those with a range of acute and chronic conditions across a range of settings. You will utilise your knowledge to contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement.
Applicants must hold or willing to achieve a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation alongside a Membership of a relevant professional body / Registered professional in the discipline / equivalent level of professional practice.
