The Opportunity
We are hiring talented project and programme managers at senior levels to join our Programme and Project Management team in our new Birmingham Office located in the centre of Birmingham. We have been involved in making a positive impact on the Midlands economy for over 50 years, with an outstanding portfolio of iconic and high-profile projects across the region, as well as supporting major national and international projects.
Our Programme and Projects team comprises over 65 project managers and form an integral part of over 800 staff based in Birmingham, covering a wide range of technical disciplines and specialist skills. We are part of a broad and diverse group of Programme and Project Managers from across the UK and overseas, with professional experience that spans Arup's offices across the globe. We are passionate about supporting the sustainable growth and enhancement of the Midlands and seek to apply that enthusiasm to contribute to a vibrant local business community.
We fulfil a wide variety of project and programme management and advisory roles to support our clients, including strategic advisory services, business case development, management of multi-disciplinary projects, establishing client PMOs, procurement advice, contract administration, stakeholder management and leading project delivery. Our project and programme managers are engaged in a number of exciting private and public sector complex building projects and programmes across Healthcare, Higher Education, Government and Property within our Programme & Project Management team.

Our programme and project managers work collaboratively in a mutually supportive team environment with a focus on team success. Our Programme and Project Management team is growing and seeking project managers and senior project managers to support ongoing workload and our ambitious growth plans in Birmingham and Nottingham. We are seeking project management professionals with relevant experience in areas such as:
- Education
- Healthcare
- Science, Industry & Technology
We are seeking professionals who:
- Have a relevant degree qualification in project management, engineering, or science.
- Are chartered by a relevant professional body or interested in pursuing professional chartership.
- Relevant experience of working in a project management role on capital projects.
- Have demonstrable project management knowledge, commercial awareness, and motivated to support line reports in their project management skills development.
- Are a self-starter, client focused and skilled at developing relationships with a wide variety of professionals.
