Full Job Description

As laid out in the 'Our Wales' strategy, the FAW has ambitious targets for football participation and facility investment at the grassroots level of the game. For the game to thrive in Wales, we need vibrant and inclusive clubs supported and underpinned by a clear vision and strategy.
Club Developers will play a key role in delivering the FAW's strategic objectives for Participation, Workforce and Facility development.
Club Developers will also play a supporting role to deliver The FAW's Our Wales: For HER Women and Girls Football strategy 2021-26 and The FAW's PAWB EDI strategy.
Club Developers will form part of a regional development team responsible for building a robust and sustainable club network, supporting clubs to engage with their community, deliver a comprehensive offer of activities and create high quality operations and facilities., Support clubs to put in place strategic club development plans with clear objectives and actions.
Provide a first point of contact for off field Club Development related enquiries in the designated Area Association, building relationships between clubs and Area Associations as required.
Equip and empower clubs in becoming sustainable community assets.
Ensure clubs are structured for success to capitalise on investment and funding opportunities, specifically supporting clubs with facility development applications that will help deliver club visions and strategies.
Support clubs to broaden and diversify their offer whilst enabling clubs to become financially sustainable.
Support clubs in developing and shaping programmes and approaches to engage and retain males and females in football
Work with clubs to proactively support female friendly environments that supports lifelong involvement
Support clubs to put in place strategic club development plans with clear objectives and actions
Administrate and communicate processes for the Club Accreditation programme
Develop and distribute resources and training to support the development and recruitment of club volunteers and governance models that would enhance club's enterprise activity, decision making and sustainability
Where appropriate, work with colleagues in the Cymru Football Foundation to implement practical support services for asset transfers, facility management and grounds maintenance
Support clubs to become integrated within their community, increasing engagement and partnerships with local stakeholders
Communicate funding programmes to club networks
Advocate the use of the Clwb Cymru platform to highlight best practice and example club development resources
This job description covers the main duties of the post holder. From time to time, other duties may be required, commensurate with the grade of the post and the needs of the organisation.

Knowledge and understanding of the creation of positive environments and inclusive offers., Educated to A level standard (or equivalent experience) with ideally further professional expertise in the areas of club development and compliance.
A sound understanding of the structure of grassroots football.
Experience of working with or supporting successful organisations
Experience of community engagement and partnerships.
Desirable:
Experience of business services and governance structures is advantageous.
Experience of volunteer retention, recruitment, training and support.
Facilities developments, capital projects and funding sources.
Experience of budget development, management and control.
Experience of marketing and communications.
