Full Job Description

Claxton are looking to hire a Projects QHSE Advisor on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their Facility in Great Yarmouth, the Projects QHSE Advisor will assist in the implementation of the QHSE strategy in conjunction with the projects department. They will support the management of QHSE systems, processes and policies, with a focus on project scope for the Great Yarmouth facility.,

  • Support the creation and management of project risk registers in relation to QHSE project elements
  • Support the delivery of QHSE and Sustainability targets for all projects
  • Promote continued improvement of project related QHSE processes
  • Support the company in bids and quotations in respect of QHSE aspects
  • Produce and discharge Quality Inspection Test Plans for projects
  • Application of the non-conformance process to closure
  • Support project improvement activity (e.g. cost of poor quality, audit findings, customer feedback)
  • Ensuring all project documentation that relate to QHSE is controlled and authorised to schedule
  • Offer QHSE support to Project Managers/Engineers to ensure the effective delivery of project plans
  • Review, critique and manage the production of comprehensive programmes of work produced buy
  • Project Engineers to ensure they are in accordance with company contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Support Project Engineers during Client facing meetings
  • Developing QHSE plans and Inspection Test Plans
  • Advise on QHSE related industry standards and legislation e.g. API, NORSOK, DNV quality requirements
  • Support PE/PM with development of safety risk items (from Risk Assessments) to be included in relevant section of Operational procedure/ risk assessment
  • Attend Pre-Job Briefings of Offshore crews to discuss key relevant safety items or security items
  • Promote a positive QHSE culture in all project applications and the wider business
  • Support the QHSE continual improvement plan and programs through the business
  • Report on QHSE project performance
  • Provide support to projects from the Great Yarmouth base
  • Assist in client visit/technical presentations as required
  • Supporting investigation and completion of project NCR's

    Level 3 certificate in Health and Safety and/or HNC in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality or Health and Safety position in an engineering environment
  • Offshore certificate in oil & gas and/or renewables, preferred
  • Audit qualification, preferred
  • Knowledge of QHSE management systems and ISO standards
  • Quality control and inspection techniques
  • Continuous improvement methods
  • Project based risk management
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas operations, equipment and manufacturing processes, preferred
  • Good working knowledge of project QHSE systems
  • Internal audit experience
  • Experience of "selling" QHSE to directors/ senior managers and clients
  • Working in an offshore or projects delivery environment, preferred
  • Computer literate. With good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent "customer" facing skills e.g. influencing, negotiation and problem solving
  • Research skills backed up by effective and practical written procedures
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Reaction to change promptly and efficiently
  • Understanding and interpretation of QHSE Regulations, preferred
  • Supportive, team player
  • Ability to cooperate with comfort at all levels of the business and clients
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Pragmatic, realistic, balanced and charismatic, trustworthy, and dynamic motivated self-starter
  • Can handle setbacks and resistance to change with both vigour and patience, preferred
  • Eligible to work in the UK with a valid Passport
  • Flexibility to travel potentially to offshore locations
