Full Job Description
Based at Pontypridd, but with remote working also possible, this role will provide you with an opportunity to utilise your stakeholder engagement, organizational and planning skills.
We are committed to work life balance and have flexible working policies. Part-time, job share and flexible working arrangements will be considered, subject to meeting the needs of the organisation.
Specifically, this role will be the Operational Procurement Officer for a specified Faculty or Department, where a collaborative approach with stakeholders and suppliers will be required to procure goods and services for the University.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of a Procure to Pay process and building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, to deliver value for money for USW through its procurement of all goods and services with a value under £30, 000 including VAT. Knowledge and experience of HE/ public sector procurement is desirable but not essential, whilst credible, demonstrable communication and organizational skills are essential.
This is a full time, permanent post.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
If you're a Welsh learner or a Welsh speaker, we'd be delighted to receive your application. At USW, you'll have access to Welsh courses to enable you to develop your Welsh skills further, in order to provide a bilingual service to our students, colleagues and the public.
We welcome applications in Welsh and English. Applications in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those made in English.
