Full Job Description
The Electronic Repairs Cell Technician will provide direct hands-on support, working autonomously to execute the repair/modification of goods returned to the business, interfacing with cross functional teams to ensure deliverables are executed in line with our defined standards of turnaround time and quality. This role will impact Grid Automation's customer satisfaction and product quality looking primarily after products which have failed inside or outside of their warranty period.,
- As part of your role you will be cross trained in the repair of multiple product lines ensuring versatility and reactivity to our customers' needs.
- Managing the end to end process of modifications and repairs of customer product from diagnosis, repair, testing and packing.
- Act according to defined Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.
- Be the point of contact for repair orders assigned to you, accountable for end to end delivery of service within this scope.
- Understand the vision of the organisation and align fully with team goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and establish positive cross-departmental working relationships with key players and stakeholders in the organisation.
- Liaise with global cross-functional teams to manage repairs and technical queries as well as any other points.
- Following material consumption processes to maintain traceability and accuracy of commodities and components.
- Maintain and ensure data quality and continuity in CRM systems and Daily Management.
- Identify bottlenecks and constraints to drive continuous improvement actions.
- Assist the Stafford Repairs Leader to simplify and optimise operations locally.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role, this list is not exhaustive.
A working knowledge and demonstrated experience of Lean methodologies & tools. - An excellent team player who can integrate and work well within a diverse and inclusive team.
- Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience of SAP or other relevant ERP systems.
- A good standard of aural and written communication.
- Positive mindset and a can-do attitude towards overcoming obstacles or challenges.
- Able to work in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to investigate solutions for complex problems is an essential trait for success in this position.
- An open mind to learning new skills or stepping out of the confines of your role to support the business.
- Industry-relevant experience in grid automation and protection & control disciplines is desired but not essential.
- A working knowledge of creating controlled Process Standard Work documentation is desired by not essential.
- A working knowledge of component level fault finding and diagnosis of Printed Circuit Boards is desired but not essential for this position.
- A recognised qualification in soldering (IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001) would be advantageous but not essential for this position.
