You will be leading the dental radiology team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-centred service. Key responsibilities include:

• Expertise in dental and maxillofacial imaging, including CBCT and fluoroscopy.

• Overseeing quality assurance and governance to meet national standards., As the Deputy Superintendent Radiographer in Dental Radiology, you will play a key leadership role in managing and coordinating the clinical workload within the Dental Radiology Department at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality radiological services, including advanced dental and maxillofacial imaging procedures such as CBCT and sialography. A significant aspect of the role involves leading a team of senior radiographers and imaging support staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources to meet service demands. You will also be accountable for training and developing staff, managing performance through regular appraisals, and providing expert clinical guidance. In the absence of the Superintendent Radiographer, you will act as the department's senior representative, handling staffing, operational issues, and ensuring compliance with trust policies and regulations, including those
related to radiation protection and clinical governance. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic development of the service by implementing quality improvements, supporting research and audit activities, and fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
