As well as working across our mainstream courses, there are fantastic opportunities to work at the college in one of our specialist areas and rated outstanding by Ofsted - PAL (Preparation for Adult Life). We are also looking for anyone with level 2/3 BSL signing skills to open the world for some of our students and give them the gift of accessing education in the same way as their hearing peers.

We are an inclusive employer and our current team of LSAs are from different backgrounds, experiences, both male and female of wide age range. We have a flexible approach to working hours, to fit in with other commitments you may have.

Looking for progression – not a problem. After completing our training, we can support you into a variety of roles within the department and college, just ask at interview.

We would like to hear from even if you don’t have experience but would like to make a difference through additional learning support.

We can arrange for you to come and talk to us to find out more, as well as guide you to what we are looking for in a person and application to get to interview and work for us.

When you join the college, we give training to allow you to progress. Applicants for Tier 4 positions must have or be willing to undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Learning Support or equivalent programme within 2 years, where we provide the training. Applications welcome from those new to support but looking for a career in supporting students with a learning disability or difficulty.
