Locala is a Disability Confident employer and as such any disabled applicants who meets all the essential criteria are guaranteed to be invited to the assessment process. 0-19 Public health staff nurse and midwife posts Various hours from 22.5 to 37.5 hours, You will work as part of a locality based 0-19 skill mix team to provide support to children, young people and their families. We will be offering further opportunity to access the development pathway once in post (courses dependent) and can offer support for you to meet the entry requirements, if required. If you choose a development pathway this would involve a period of work-based practice development in preparation to commence the current post-graduate Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Programme or the post-graduate apprenticeship route (approval pending) in the arena of Health Visiting. Successful applicants will then undertake the SCPHN education pathway/Apprenticeship from September 2025 (courses defendent and service need), where they will be supported to achieve their programme outcomes by a Community Practice Teacher/Practice Assessor in their workplace. Following successful completion of the SCPHN course the post-holder will be awarded a band 6 Health Visiting post within Locala.
