Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced senior Programme Manager to deliver our Wessex reservoir improvement programme. Currently we have 7 reservoir projects at various stages of the project life cycle with a total portfolio value up to £80m. The programme may be extended in future to include other southwest assets, depending on need. These improvements are being delivered by multi-functional integrated delivery teams comprising Environment Agency staff and delivery partners. The team is dispersed across the southwest and you can expect a friendly welcome and exciting environment to work in. You'll provide the strategic direction for the programme and day to day coordination of project management activity. You will lead the programme and plan, monitor and manage resources, finance, risks and dependencies. You will be responsible for delivery against challenging deadlines while ensuring the standards of the Environment Agency are met. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are required to ensure that all project stakeholders are engaged, fostering a fully collaborative and inclusive environment. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role. We are the southwest Programme and Contract Management team which sits under the Environment Agency's Flood and Coastal Risk Management Directorate. You will become part of this award-winning team, who provide an effective project and programme management service. Our dedicated and well-qualified teams manage projects to deliver flood risk and environmental improvements.
