Full Job Description

Working within an experienced and friendly team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, producing well-presented and balanced meals. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Cook or Chef looking for a varied role, escaping the stress and unsociable hours of hospitality!,

  • To help develop with the Head Cook a 4-weekly menu under the direction of the Home Manager and residents
  • Preparing meals considering residents preferences and specialist needs
  • Ensuring the kitchen team are following infection control and health & safety guidance
  • Keeping kitchen records up to date
  • Following the correct procedures for ordering, delivering, storing and preserving of stock, including stock rotation
  • Attending meetings and training as required
  • Keeping up to date with latest legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Complying with the Food Safety Agency and HACCP guidelines

    Vane Hill ARBD Care Home are recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook! As the 2nd Cook, you will have the privilege in providing home-cooked, nutritious meals catering for the residents living at Vane Hill ARBD (Alcohol Related Brain Damage) Care Home. You will have the opportunity to get to know the people you are cooking for, taking into consideration their likes, dislikes and specialist diets., Must have experience working in a similar setting
  • Will hold a Food Hygiene Qualification, or be willing to work towards this
