Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit someone who is motivated, hard working and excells in a fast paced environment. You will support the lead nurse in delivering patient-centred, high-quality care. You will be happy working amongst a MDT and supporting the childrens assessment unit as this post gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work across both areas., The post holder will assist in the running of the department alongside the staff nurse in charge of the childrens emergency department.

The post holder will work as part of a team of staff and co-ordinate the clinical workload and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources during the shift period. The post holder will co-ordinate the clinical workload and ensure the effective use of resources through the deployment of staff, monitoring of skill mix and utilisation of clinical competence and experience.

The post holder will ensure the safe custody, administration and economical use of drugs and surgical supplies.

The post holder will undertake rotational duties and be expected to adopt a flexible approach to working practices to meet the needs of the service.
