Full Job Description

We are looking to strengthen our Digital team with a 4D planner based at Peterborough initially and then Cambridge with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Head of digital delivery and will be a digitally passionate individual with a creative mindset and ability to influence change. With an appreciation of 4D modelling, digital rehearsal facilitation and strong interpersonal skills, the individual will work with the Cambridge delivery team. This role is about bridging the gap between engineering and delivery functions through collaborative practices. There will be support from our community of 4D Planners and Digital specialists across the business, including opportunities to train and develop across the broad spectrum of digital delivery tools. Implementing Digital Delivery as business as usual is a strategic priority for MWH Treatment. The core Digital Delivery tools are Delivery & Digital Strategy, Visual Project Initiation (including Digital Survey), Data rich 3D models, Collaborative Reviews, Digital Rehearsals, Digital Field Management and Building our Data & Analytics capability. To ensure our regional team have the support needed to integrate these digital tools as business as usual we have a need for a 4D Planner. The role will cover 2 main aspects Rehearsal Technician c. 70% of time The individual will be required to develop 4D models utilising Synchro for Digital Rehearsals, linking the model and programme, to provide visualisations. It will be the individual's responsibility to ensure the programme represents the sequence of works on the project, highlighting the physical and time clashes, flagging any potential health and safety issues. Visualisation outputs will be utilised for weekly lookaheads, used for team briefings, to detailed overviews for Client engagement and externalisation. You will also have a great understanding of construction methodology and logistics, planning techniques and technology integration and data processes. This will be a significant part of the role; support can be provided in peak times from the Digital Core Team and the 4D planner will work closely with the lead project planner to ensure the model is accurate at all times. Rehearsal Facilitator c. 30% of time The role will require the individual to act as a rehearsal facilitator on the project in both an office and site environment. Training will be provided in rehearsal facilitation. The focus of the facilitator is to clarify the strategic delivery intent and stakeholder interfaces. Digital Rehearsals will be held both in a virtual and face to face environment, the individual should be comfortable with travelling to construction sites.

Essential

  • Capability to fulfil the role requirements.
  • 4D Synchro software capability and planning background.
  • Appreciation on real critical path management and control and background in scheduling
  • Good communication and facilitation skills are necessary as is an ability to work with Delivery Teams developing and implementing practical applications.
  • Ensure the maximum efficiencies are gained from the tools and manage system issues on a proactive basis.
  • Continuously look for synergies in regional processes and system functionality.
