Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Administration Assistant to work within our booking team at our brand new £10 million Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) that will be based at Freshney Place Shopping Centre, Grimsby.

Our CDC is part of the UK's initiative to improve access to diagnostic services across local communities. This center provides a range of medical diagnostic services aimed at reducing waiting times for tests, scans, and consultations, helping to ease the burden on traditional hospital facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating patient appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for patients and healthcare staff alike. You will work closely with clinicians, administrative staff & patients to schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed, while ensuring accurate records are maintained within the NHS systems., Operational use of Diagnostic Information Systems (e.g., Lorenzo & RIS) to register patients attending the departments for examination, ensuring the data entered is accurate and correct.

Answer telephone queries in a timely manner

Demonstrate own tasks to new starters as directed.

Work with other patient administration departments in line with the continuing needs of the NHS Plan and other developments in health care.

Attend any relevant training courses necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the role and maintain personal development.

Understand and adhere to the concept of Confidentiality to ensure that this important aspect of care is not breached.

Safeguard at all times the confidentiality of information in relation to patients and staff. Information relating to identifiable persons must on no account be divulged other than to an authorised person.

18h/week contract - This will be a job share between two employees. Expected hours will be: Week 1 - Mon/Tue 08:30-16:00 and Wed 08:30-12:30 | Week 2 - Wed 12:30-16:30 and Thu/Fri 08:30-16:00

37.5h/week contract - This will be a full time post and hours will be Mon-Fri 0830-1700.
