Full Job Description

Performs Cash Treasury / FX activities, in support of the CMF, Prime and Treasury businesses', from within GWO Settlements & Clearing in London, England. Supports the team manager in ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. What You'll Do:

  • Review intraday and EOD cash positions at the Bank's various depository accounts and facilitating funding movements as required.
  • Liaise directly with depositories and internal settlement teams to ensure movements are validated.
  • Provide Operational and settlement support to local Treasury and FX business lines.
  • Provide specific payments advise to clients to ensure STP of incoming funds.
  • Perform daily controls around incoming payments ahead of releasing new Money Market loans.
  • Respond to client Audit confirmation requests in a timely manner.
  • Review and resolve cash and accounting breaks.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover within the sider department as required.

    Good knowledge of Front and Back Office operation and practices.
  • Possess knowledge of the risk, accounting and settlement requirements of Fixed Income Securities and Equities.
  • Ideally has 3 years relevant market experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to affect and manage change.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound judgment and strong analytical skills in order to effectively resolve problems, effectively deal with internal and external clients, depositories, agents, sub-custodians, and other service providers as appropriate.
  • A desire to provide SME support to more junior staff and to continuously look for ways to improve the process and challenge the status quo.
