Full Job Description

The degree level apprenticeship qualifies you as an Operating Department Practitioner: a registered healthcare professional specialising in care for patients during the whole perioperative journey. Operating Department Practitioners work alongside other professionals (such as Doctors and nurses) and take a lead role in ensuring a patient is safe during their journey through the operating theatre. By completing the Level 6 apprenticeship you will gain a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice which has been approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and you will be eligible to apply for HCPC registration. This role is Band 5 Annex 21: Year 1 - 65% , Year 2 -70%, Year 3 - 75%.
