Full Job Description

This is an exciting new opportunity for an Apprentice Project Controller to join our expanding Project Controls Team, with vacancies in various locations. At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, defence, energy, and international development. Joining the existing Project and Cost Management business unit, you will support Senior Project Controls Professionals in managing projects, working closely with high profile clients, stakeholders, and all UK Tetra Tech disciplines to develop and deliver successful projects to our clients. You will be supported working towards managing your own projects whilst studying for a degree in project controls qualification. This position will include day release to complete a fully funded Level 6 (Degree level) Apprenticeship in Project Controls This position offers an exciting opportunity where you can gain invaluable 'hands' on experience and gain a qualification.,

  • Assisting in delivering projects to the value of £50m across both Public and Private sectors
  • Controlling project budgets and costs
  • Managing project risk and supporting mitigation strategies
  • Managing project schedules, making sure that project team adheres to timelines
  • Performance reporting, including project health metrics, status reports, and analysis
  • Supporting data analytics efforts, including the collection, analysis, and interpretation of project performance data
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining project dashboards for real-time project insights and KPI tracking
  • Making sure internal governance is adhered to, following standardised project management methodologies (PMO alignment)
  • Assisting in scope management and delivery of construction projects
  • Supporting the alignment of project objectives with strategic portfolio goals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients, supporting project success and alignment with business objectives

    A minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent including English Language and Maths
  • 3 A Levels Grade A-C or equivalent
  • A keen interest in developing your Project Management skills
  • MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Suitability for security clearance
  • Desirable - Full, clean UK driving license and ideally access to a vehicle
