Full Job Description

This role is within the Deputy Pg Director and Integrate team of the programme. The DPD & Integrate team are responsible for governance of the pg, including internal and external Boards and forums, Project Delivery Integration across Barrow & Raynesway Infrastructure and Supply Chain workstreams, Approvals and Assurance including planning for Pg BCs and supporting activity planning & artefacts. The team are responsible for Contract Permissioning planning, process, and delivery at Pg level, requirements, assumption, & dependencies mgmt. For People including establishment, workforce planning, and supply management. Scope / Task Deliverables

  • This role will act as the lead for Approvals, Contract Permissioning, Governance, Reporting (P6 etc), communications, stakeholder planning and governance.
  • Approvals will require directing and facilitating progression of approvals for the programme to OBC/FBC in the next 12-month period.
  • In parallel, a Pg contract permissioning process is being established which will endure for the duration of the pg, this role will lead the execution of the contract permissioning and enable the Contract Permissioning Group (CPG).

    The role requires a self-starter with the ability and flexibility to navigate a busy and varied programme of work, integrating four delivery workstreams across multiple SDA sites and Industry Partners, including the project, commercial and finance functions.
  • The role holder will need to be comfortable with detail in such a complex programme of work and the uncertainty that comes with delivering the change required to deliver the programmes ambition.
  • The role holder must be APM qualified.
  • The programme is required to monitor and influence dependencies across the Defence Nuclear Enterprise and approvals associated with teams such as Nuclear Propulsion and SSNA.
  • + Therefore, the post holder will have a proven track record of maintaining relationships and managing dependencies across a network of stakeholders and teams, to realise programme-level outcomes.
  • Delivering at pace from day one, previous experience of achieving progression through a Cat A approvals and assurance regime is highly desirable.
  • The programme is to be delivered in accordance with Knowledge in Defence (KiD), the Capability Management Practitioners' Guide (CMPG)1, the IPA Project Routemap, the Government Functional Standard GovS002: Project Delivery, and the Defence Project Delivery Standards and therefore a working knowledge of these is highly desirable.
