Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will: Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Art for the right candidate.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to ensure students are provided with a creative, enriching experience in line with national standards and the needs of our school community.
  • Foster a love for the arts, encouraging students to express themselves through various artistic media and techniques.
  • Student Progress:
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback that supports both academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching, addressing individual needs and ensuring all students are supported in reaching their full potential.
  • Professional Development:
  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the ongoing development of the Art department and the school community.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that contribute to the cultural and creative life of the school.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Experience:
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will receive full support and mentorship in their professional development.
