Full Job Description

  • Develop and maintain asset allocation models across multi-assets to produce investment recommendations on an absolute and relative basis.
  • Develop and maintain risk and liquidity management frameworks to embed into the portfolio management process.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager with portfolio construction and implementation.
  • Work closely with internal clients to align and transition portfolios within an appropriate implementation strategy.
  • Liaise with Middle Office on portfolio execution systems.
  • Produce and communicate asset allocation thought pieces, market analysis, and outlook research.
  • Respond to the organisation's changing research needs in a flexible and constructive manner.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to requests from the investment manager network.

    Educated to a degree (or equivalent) level with relevant industry-recognised professional qualifications.
  • Appropriate (c. 5 years) multi-asset investment analysis experience gained through working at relevant organisations, ideally wealth or asset managers.
  • Demonstrable experience of investment performance reporting / commentary.
  • Experience of risk and liquidity analysis within a portfolio management environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of portfolio construction and implementation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-asset instruments and interaction methodologies.
  • Extensive experience of using financial databases, e.g. Bloomberg.
  • Understanding of multi-assets, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills to evolve in-house analytics, preferably in Python.
  • The ability to formulate and communicate investment views.
  • A client-friendly communication style, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • A flexible and collaborative team player.
  • A self-starter, highly motivated, and with strong attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the UK wealth management space.
