Full Job Description

The Role: This rewarding role focuses on empowering young people by providing them with the support, guidance, and skills they need to grow in confidence and independence. As an Assistant Project Worker, you will be responsible for key-working individuals, engaging with all residents, and supporting them to develop socially and personally. Your role will involve helping young people achieve their goals, including education, employment, training, and voluntary work placements, and ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities needed to thrive., In accordance with safer recruitment processes many of the roles we recruit for require successful candidates to undertake an appropriate criminal record background check. If an offer of work is accepted, YMCA Trinity Group will facilitate these checks on behalf of our staff and volunteers via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

+ Ability to thrive in a reactive and fast-paced environment, adjusting to changing needs and situations.
+ A good listener with a genuine ability to understand and connect with the challenges young people face.
+ Collaborative in approach, working well with colleagues and other professionals to provide the best outcomes for residents.
+ Capable of lone working, making informed decisions, and taking initiative when necessary.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, ensuring clear and effective interaction with residents, colleagues, and external agencies

Days and hours
Week one; Saturday 7.45am-2.45pm & Sunday 3.15pm -10.15pm
Week two; Off
Salary and Benefits Annual salary £4,312.88 (11.44 p/h)
+ 5 weeks holiday plus public holiday allowance (Pro rata for part time staff)

Sessional Contracts Available too!
Some of the team have the opportunity to work flexible hours on a sessional contract as a relief project worker, picking up day and or night shifts that fit round their availability.
