Assistant Food Development Manager

The Assistant Food Development Manager is a dynamic and exciting role that plays a key part in supporting dish and menu innovation and development across all formats within the Stonegate Group. You will be responsible for managing and supporting the offer change process timeline for designated projects, ensuring that all deadlines and tasks are met to facilitate a successful launch to the business. Throughout all activities, you will be expected to uphold the Stonegate Values and align with the Food team's ways of working.,

• Support the Food Development Managers in the development of market leading offers and ensure these are supported with full pictorial and accurate written specifications and training tools.
• Ensure a good balance between innovation and operational delivery is achieved and maintained.
• Support the completion of all food development tasks effectively and on time according to process deadlines.
• Work closely with the wider development team to share plans, ideas and generally collaborate to work smartly across the business.
• Work closely with the food operations team and food technical manager to ensure that all development is underpinned by Stonegate kitchen management operating practices and system guidelines.
• Be responsible for the production of accurate recipe builds within the company recipe management system (in line with agreed ways of working).
• Facilitate food photography sessions in line with the process deadlines.
• Manage food ordering and deliveries for the development kitchen.
• Work within a clearly defined cost budget.
• Support the menu launch cascade sessions.
• Excite and enthuse the business about growing food sales every day.
  
  Experience of working within a branded food environment
• Excellent multi project/process development skills.
• Commercially focused with strong business awareness.
• Able to present effectively in writing, in 1:1 sessions, in group presentations and at every level to influence the food agenda.
• Applies well developed reasoning and commercial awareness when making decisions. Always considers a faster, better, lower cost solution.
• Highly resilient and works with pace, focus and optimism to overcome obstacles and deliver against tight timelines using own initiative without specific instruction.
• Collaborates effectively across internal departments.
• Passion and understanding of food.
• Strong practical culinary expertise.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT literate - proficient in all Office packages.
• Guest focussed with a real passion for meeting the guest expectation.
• Current driving license.
