Full Job Description

  • Reporting to the Director of Inflight Operations
  • Assist and support in the supervision of the base flight attendants
  • Ensure supervisors are equipped and prepared to support flight attendants and leaders in the operation
  • Manage and direct a team of supervisors providing coaching and support as they manage performance of the flight attendants
  • Assist in all areas of the operation and provide leadership to the staff
  • Provide input into performance expectations and participate in performance reviews
  • Liaison with station personnel for all issues relative to departures, misconnects, pre-boarding, late arrivals, etc.
  • Support supervisors in administering coaching and counseling as needed to front line employees
  • Provide support as needed to front-line employees
  • Lead investigations as required and ensure disciplinary timelines are met
  • Primary liaison with NOC
  • IFDM and Station Operations Managers regarding real time updates to the Inflight operation and notable flight-level events
  • Make tactical decisions as needed and advance significant operational challenges to the base, scheduling, and SOC managers
  • Manage performance and direct activities of a team coaching/counseling as necessary
  • Investigate base and down line station delays
  • Oversee Charter operations
  • Ensure delivery of Inflight and Marketing products determined by Inflight division
  • Responsible for bid send requirements/bid award investigations, FAA manual compliance, return to work TSA requirements and manage the Transitional Duty program
  • Hearing officer for work rule and non-termination performance grievances
  • Oversee the Turn Compliance Index metric and the base team to ensure fully staffed aircraft and on-time departures resulting in meeting or exceeding reliability metric
  • Participate in all phases of the operation to ensure divisional goals are met
  • Support Inflight via communication, training, and support to flight attendants
  • This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

    Required
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • Required to attend Flight Attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently FA qualified
  • Equivalent work experience or previous inflight supervisory experience
  • Effective time management, presentation, planning and organizational skills
  • Experience leading and influencing a team with solid conflict resolution and decision-making capability
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - must be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24/7 operation including nights weekends and holidays and must be willing to work Flight Attendant trips as required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Preferred
  • Master's degree
  • Current FA qualification
  • Experience working with operational programs such as Volare, Unimatic, CCS, IOM, and similar programs
  • Extensive knowledge of operations, management and logistics
  • Experience supervising union personnel
  • Experience in inflight service
