Full Job Description

The Post is for 30 hours worked over 4 days. The vacancy has arisen due to a member of staff leaving the Practice. The successful candidate will work alongside the Practice Manager providing support with the day to day running of the surgery and taking responsibility for certain aspects of the duties associated with management., We are looking for a candidate who is confident and willing to take responsibility for a range of duties associated with the management side of the practice. These duties will include HR duties, Organisational duties, Health and Safety, IT, Performance and Quality and dealing and managing Students at the Practice. A full list of duties is included in the Job Description supplied but this role will develop along with the skills of the candidate. You will have the chance to become a valued member of the management team.

It is ESSENTIAL that the right candidate must have worked in a GP surgery setting previously and should have knowledge and experience of the administration side and day to day running of general practice. They should be capable of using their own initiative when required and have the confidence to work alone.

The practice is well established with over 6000 patients and is staffed by a friendly welcoming team of 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP (we are in the process of recruiting a 2nd salaried GP) 1 ANP, 3 Practice Nurses an HCA and a substantial clerical/administration team and we look forward to welcoming the right candidate for the post. We are also a Training Practice hosting students on a regular basis.
