We are a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff who provide high quality, user-friendly diagnostic radiology service. We are a friendly, inclusive team with a great skill mix which helps us support each other to provide excellent patient centred care.
We are looking for a highly motived, qualified, assistant radiographic practitioner to work in our busy department in York. York is a wonderful city within North Yorkshire, an area renowned for its beaches, National Parks, and history.
This position will be based in the x-ray department at York Hospital, and at our satellite site at Clifton Park Clinic. The assistant practitioner will be working alongside a qualified supervising radiographer, undertaking a range of x-ray examinations on patients who are non-complex in nature., + Undertake all the professional and technical requirements of the post as an assistant radiographic practitioner, while working under clinical supervision, within the Radiology service at York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
+ Undertake a defined range of radiographic examinations under supervision
+ Adhere to the defined imaging criteria of the Trust whilst ensuring the best interests of the patient are always maintained, including acting as a patient's advocate as necessary.
+ Provide an efficient and ethical imaging service while remaining sensitive at all times to the needs and concerns of all service users.
+ Observe all statutory and local rules & practices concerning Ionising Radiation Regulations IRMER 2017 and IRR 2017.
+ Initiate and/or maintain all required records associated with imaging examinations in electronic and/or paper form., As part of seeking to become more inclusive, we will consider requests for flexible working from the start of your employment. DBS Checks
Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. By applying you are agreeing to this undertaking. If you are successful you will be asked to confirm if you wish to pay in one amount or in instalments. The charges are currently £22.68 for a standard check and £42.68 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.

Relocation Package
