Full Job Description

Cancer and Surgery Clinical Group is looking for looking for a talented Associate HR Business Partner to cover for a 12 month fixed term period (maternity leave in the team) in our Clinical Group Embedded HR Team who will act as the key points of contact for our GMS, Surgery, TAP and TRU directorates, working autonomously with Directorate leaders to lead on organisational change, utilising workforce intelligence date to influence sustained improvement in directorate KPIS and creating interventions with impact to support directorate people challenges., The Associate HR Business Partner will provide an operational role within four busy directorates: 1.Gastrointestinal Medicine and Surgery, 2.Surgery (Orthopaedics and Plastics) 3.Theatres, Anaesthesia and Perioperative 4. Transplant, Renal and Urology and as a senior HR professional, is expected to be largely self managing. It will be vital for the Associate HR Business Partner to understand and contribute to the key people priorities in the Clinical Group and have experience of supporting organisation change within NHS services.

This role will report to the Associate Director of People.

The Cancer and Surgery Clinical Group was formed in 2021 consisting of 7 Directorates with a budget of c.£500 million, We are focused on delivery of services to the local population of South East London but also provide a large number of specialist services across the South East of England. We currently have the largest robotic surgery programme in the UK and are committed to developing our robotic centre of excellence. We oversee the largest theatre complex in the NHS and have an ambitious theatre development programme underway.

We are one of the largest cancer centres in the UK, hosting diagnostic pathways, as well as delivering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical treatments across our two cancer centres at Guys and Queen Mary Sidcup sites. We are constantly innovating with strong industry, academic and charitable partnerships and an ambitious strategy to continue to develop as a world class cancer centre.
