Full Job Description

Japanese Corporate Banking Division for EMEA manages business strategy planning for JCIB franchise in EMEA region. Business management group in JCBD EMEA covers the following tasks.

  • Planning and Management of Japanese corporate banking business in EMEA
  • + Strategy Planning for business development + Expense/Investment management and HR planning + Interest rate/Commission pricing strategy planning + BSC Management
  • Business Promotion of Japanese corporate banking business in EMEA
  • Strategy Planning, promotion, management, guidance, support for Branches/Representative Offices/Subsidiaries that are in charge of JCIB business
  • + Profit and BSC target setting/management + Advice/support on business development plans for each EMEA Office + New business strategies
  • Research and analysis of EMEA business environment and business development planning
  • Number of Direct Reports None Main Purpose of the Role Provide overall support to management including Head of Business Management to run the division effectively,
  • Develop initiatives along with EMEA/global JCBD business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across JCBD EMEA network and the other divisions in Head Office and EMEA, to enable greater co-ordination of activities and aid collaborative working.
  • Engage in planning and management of JCBD EMEA business, strategy planning for business development, expense/investment management, interest rate/commission pricing strategy planning, BSC management, etc.
  • Research and analysis of EMEA business environment and business development planning
  • Develop strategy planning, promotion, management, guidance, support for EMEA offices on profit and target setting/management, advice/support on business development plans for each office, new business strategies, etc.

    Work experience in a financial institution with understanding and experience in Japanese corporate banking business is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge in wide range of banking products is preferred.
  • Previous experience in business management, project management and/or administration is advantageous.
  • Skills and Experience Functional / Technical Competencies:
  • Demonstrable foundational knowledge of general banking
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong accuracy and attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrable accuracy when creating reports
  • Effective team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Fluency in Japanese both written and verbal
