Full Job Description

The post is dedicated to the support of the clinical hepatocyte transplant programme and the preparation of cells for clinical use and service development. The main role of the post holder is in supporting the maintenance and monitoring of the laboratories, assisting in the GMP cell isolation procedures, quality control, and subsequent ATMP production., The main responsibility of the post holder is to assist in the isolation of hepatocytes to GMP standards in a clean room environment for clinical and research use by maintaining the laboratory in a fit state and by assisting in the isolation procedures. There is also a responsibility to work collaboratively with other teams isolating other cells for human use.

The duties include maintenance of the GMP laboratory, maintaining supplies of reagents and necessary equipment, both in the GMP and research lab, and ensuring that proper records are kept as necessary.
