Full Job Description
Our After the Event (ATE) Account Managers are responsible for selling ARAG's market leading products and services into the legal distribution chain, including Solicitors, Brokers, and Claims Management Companies. ATE Account Managers exercise a detailed understanding of the wider legal market & distribution channels to accurately interpret and understand the needs of our customers in order to effectively respond to all opportunities with a suitable business proposal and presentation. Our ATE Account Managers are also responsible for the profitable service provision, maintenance, growth, and retention of the existing client portfolio., The ATE Account Manager will: ensure individual achievement against prevailing sales targets for their area, seek to achieve growth of Net Written Premium (NWP) by identifying profitable business opportunities with new and existing partners, develop and maintain their own pipeline of prospects for new business and will generate opportunities by having effective communication with target agents and existing business partners, adhere to agreed targets for new business calls, appointments, and quotes, and collaborate on responses and presentations for formal and informal tenders and large business opportunities.
- Customer Service: maintain frequency of customer contact, maintain & promote the ARAG brand & act as first point of contact for all customer queries. The Account Manager will be responsible for effectively maintaining and developing relationships with existing agents, including the following activity:
- handling day to day service queries providing training and support managing and conducting regular review meetings. arranging and providing regular MI completing Scheme Reviews
- Product Knowledge: apply knowledge & understanding of legal market & product features and benefits to develop an appropriate product specification for each customer. The Account Manager will be expected to have a good understanding of FCA Conduct Risk requirements and will assess the suitability of schemes and products to ensure they are suitable for the demands and needs of the agent(s) and their target market.
- Compliance ensure activities are carried out in line with stipulated processes, procedures & authority limits - including training of relevant stakeholders within the portfolio.
- Communication: work effectively with all stakeholders (internal & external) to ensure customers' needs are fulfilled & that the ARAG product mix is appropriate to these needs.
- Reporting: ensure all information within the company's CRM system(s) is maintained and is reflective of sales/account management activity.
- Learning & Development: take responsibility for own learning needs & objectives. Work closely with colleagues to progress knowledge & skills base.
Degree education &/or ACII qualified (or equivalent) with at circa 5 years or more successful B2B sales & account management experience, preferably within the insurance or legal industry. Alternatively, experience of working within a law firm for a minimum 5 years in a fee earner capacity but demonstrating an aptitude for customer relationship and service could be considered. Understanding of other business functions, regulatory requirements & ISO standards e.g., environmental, IT Knowledge of Legal Expenses Insurance Knowledge of Personal Injury Law
