Full Job Description

You will be working closely with our caregivers and partner providers to ensure the highest quality adult care is provided across the UK. As Adult Back-Up Care Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensuring there are sufficient numbers of professional staff with suitable skills, experience and knowledge to deliver safe care and maintain a high-quality service
  • Reviewing and learning from accidents, incidents (including safeguarding), complaints and sharing these lessons learned with staff as appropriate
  • Seeking feedback from customers, stakeholders and interested parties
  • Acting on results of audits and reviews of the service
  • Promoting a supportive, transparent culture where all staff members can learn from any mistakes
  • You will need to have a quiet environment to work in along with your own computer, webcam, mobile phone and a good internet connection. This role is full-time Monday to Friday, and working hours can be flexibly arranged in conjunction with other team members. What you will deliver
  • Receiving and responding to emails from our clients
  • Conversing with our care team members via our chat facility
  • Staffing emergency care bookings via phone / online portal
  • Working to achieve team and individual targets on a weekly / monthly basis
  • Consistently delivering the highest quality customer service to everyone we interact with
  • Supporting the Director with CQC related tasks
  • Key Experience, Skills and Attitudes

  • Experience as CQC Registered Manager or similar in an adult / elder care setting
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with a high degree of reliability and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience with a Salesforce or similar CRM platform would be highly advantageous

    British Nannies provides families with temporary and emergency in-home childcare, for example when a family's usual carer is not available, or their nursery / school is closed. We are now seeking to expand our business to provide the same service (Adult Back-Up Care) for those aged 18 - 100 under the brand name British Carers.
  • Adult Back-Up Care is intended to be used to provide personalised in-home care, companionship and household support for those who either usually live independently or are cared for by a family member, and a circumstance has suddenly occurred which means additional short-term assistance with daily living activities is required. A few examples of service use requirements are below:
  • An adult person is recuperating from an operation
  • The gradual long-term decline of an individual's health; age-related frailty
  • A family member who usually provides care has started a new job or is otherwise unavailable and has less time to provide care

    Home-based fully remote role with no travel required
  • Full training provided via Zoom
  • 28 days' annual leave (pro rata), auto-enrol pension, and private medical insurance

  • Starting salary £25,000 per annum (£27,000 per annum in London)
