Full Job Description

The primary programme of work for this role will be the Shared Care Record Programme which is called Somerset Integrated Digital Electronic Record (SIDeR+) and connects all the significant electronic health records across Somerset. There will be other data sharing platforms which you will also be expected to support. This role will be will be working across Somerset based at place and will be required to engage with and spend time embedded in the wider health and care community. A key aspect of this role will be to implement transformational change by encouraging, training, and sharing and process mapping with health and care colleagues to embed use of SIDeR+ initiatives into clinical workflow and policies. An example of this will be helping to embed the electronic Somerset Treatment Escalation Plan (eSTEP) across the system. You will be expected to be the liaison between NHS Somerset Digital team and health and care provider organisations. The post holder will be a strong advocate for transformational change through innovation and quality improvement and will actively promote and champion the development of a health and care data and digital information culture, as enablers of change and quality improvement across the Somerset system This role will require a strong element of initiative, autonomy and confidence to help convene, problem solve, influence and lead colleagues from across different sectors and levels.,

  • Help to embed SIDeR+ and other data sharing platform usage into each setting as part of clinical and care workflow
  • Work with people and act as a leader and catalyst for new ideas and use of data sharing platforms, this is not a technical role
  • Work closely with the SIDeR+ Programme Team supporting the Somerset Shared Care Record and other data sharing platforms including Digital Clinical Safety to lead safe deployment of digital services
  • Work with technical colleagues to de-obfuscate users and analyse SIDeR+ usage data and identify areas of high and low use in order to respectively collate viable current use cases and benefits for onwards promotion and best practice, and to increase service uptake and adoption
  • Listen to feedback from a variety of colleagues all at once, be able to distil this feedback for verification with the audience on the fly, and then commit in writing for onwards consideration as part of the service development workstream in every tier of the programme governance
  • Empathise with the health and care audience, understand the service pressures they are under, recognise their key tasks and responsibilities and tailor the active SIDeR+ service and other data sharing platform highlights as well as the future development roadmaps to their needs, We offer flexible working from your first day of employment and we also have an agile approach to home / office-based working. Please note however, that you will be required to work from our HQ, Wynford House in Yeovil for 2/3 days per week and that elements of the role may require you to travel to other locations across Somerset, to attend in-person meetings and meet the needs of the service.
