Full Job Description

We are looking for an 8B Haemophilia Programme Manager to work with dynamic teams across Haemophilia Centres in London to deliver a transformation and improvement agenda. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an important programme and make a difference to the population of London by working closely with teams across 5 hospital Trusts. The Programme Manager will provide managerial leadership, coordination and support to projects in key priority areas for haemophilia services. They will work with the Haemophilia Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teamsto develop and agree these priority areas and lead the strategic and operational development of coherent and effective clinical network arrangement to address national and local priorities. This role will be hosted by the Royal Free Hospital but will include working with teams across the following 5 hospital Trusts:

  • Royal Free Hospital
  • Guys and St Thomas'
  • St Georges Hospital
  • Hammersmith Hospital
  • Great Ormond Street Hospital, Working with clinical leads to develop the haemophilia network relationships and structure in London to enable collaboration and innovation, with support from NHS England and ICB network leads
  • Mapping new gene therapy pathways and supporting implementation of UKHCDO guidelines
  • Identifying opportunities for quality improvement across services so that all patients in London are receiving similar care in line with the national service specification and reduce unwarranted variation
  • Benchmarking of workforce, training and education and development of overarching strategy
  • Mapping across pathways such as paediatrics, specialist surgical and dental pathways
  • Developing the business case for ongoing funding
  • Manages and co-ordinates the work of the programme, supporting the development of haemophilia services across London.
  • Other areas may be agreed and/or prioritised during the term of this post.
