Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic individual, who is keen to assist in the continued development of the service to meet the increase in demand.The postholder is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the completeness, quality, accuracy, and integrity of related data and audits for bowel cancer screening. The successful candidate will be responsible for the allocation and booking of bowel cancer screening lists across Harrogate, Leeds and York ensuring that all lists are totally utilised. This will involve booking patients onto lists as well as rearranging appointments to ensure that participants are able to attend for screening and that screening sessions are utilised efficiently. The post holder will work closely with the programme manager, specialist screening practitioners, clinical teams, and wider hospital colleagues at all sites across Harrogate, Leeds, and York to ensure accurate data is captured and recorded in the bowel cancer screening systems, and proactively monitor KPI data. The post holder will communicate a list of data quality issues to the programme manager. You will maintain the administrative duties required to sustain the smooth running of the Bowel Screening programme andwill be expected to provide statistical information to assist with monitoring service productivity and audits as well as all other reports required by Trust Board, Commissioners and the BCS Quality Assurance team.

The ability to be flexible & organised in the workplace with a passion for delivering a quality and successful service is essential. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required to maintain and develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts. The post holder will be able to work autonomously having the necessary experience, training, skills, and knowledge to support the wider bowel cancer screening team. You must be compassionate and caring, with good communication skills as you will be required to discuss information to patients and relatives and ensure that all information is fully understood. You must be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative, as well as being part of a dedicated team. Good IT knowledge is essential with evidence of word/Microsoft Excel, as you will need to record, collect, audit and monitor data accurately.
