Full Job Description

Aon is currently recruiting a Broker to join the Political Risk and Structured Credit team within our Global Broking Centre. The team forms part of the wider global Credit Solutions practice. In this role, you will be co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of this Political Risk and Structured Credit business within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis. This is a Hybrid role which will involve part office/home-based working. We're happy to talk flexible working. What the day will look like Working as part of a successful team your duties will include:

  • Facilitating and leading virtual and in-person client and market meetings.
  • Preparing market submissions that bring together clients' needs and completing placements through all phases from Non-Binding Indication to confirmation of cover.
  • Working with colleagues in the Aon team to develop clients, guiding them from initial meetings to binding first policies as well as servicing existing clients.
  • Structuring solutions for clients trading and investing in both OECD and developing economies.
  • Efficiently canvassing the market and negotiating to achieve the best possible outcomes for the client.
  • Representing Aon at client meetings and trade conferences including opportunities to travel to Paris, Singapore, South Africa, Dubai, US, and Scandinavia or indeed wherever there is an opportunity to develop or maintain client relationships.

    Previous London Market Credit & Political Risk insurance experience gained within either a Broker or Insurer.
  • Ability to utilise insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service, preferably with some exposure to electronic placements.
  • Experience of leading effective client relationships.
  • Engaging communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
  • ACII qualified.
