Full Job Description

Our Building Services team are looking for a Building Estates Officer to join the team at Walsall Hospital. The purpose of the role will be to manage certain building maintenance elements of the project such as, waste disposal, grounds and gardens, fire door and window restrict or maintenance, flooring, painting and other building fabric related activities. The post holder will manage the life cycle painting programme and ensure all works are delivered to budget and on time. What you'll bring to the role: To manage the subcontractor covering the maintenance of:

  • Domestic, Building and other Waste Removal.
  • Grounds and Gardens Maintenance.
  • Fire Door Maintenance.
  • Window restrictor inspections.
  • Fixed Fire Systems Inspections and repair.
  • Other Building fabric related aspects.
  • Subcontractors are managed in accordance with the service contract and the programme of activities programmed into the CAFM system.

    HNC or equivalent in building services.
  • Previous staff management experience.
  • Previous experience of Health and Safety Law.
  • Knowledge of Building and Fire Regulations, HTMs, HBNs and other applicable guidance.
