Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Cheshire West and Chester Council is recruiting a new position of Business and Performance Manager to take a lead role within our pan-Cheshire Youth Justice Service. This is a new post and an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service rated as 'Good' in our last inspection, as we strive for continuous improvement in everything we do., As the Business and Performance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our multi-agency Youth Justice Services. You'll work collaboratively with key stakeholders from police, probation, education, health and social care and will be a vital member of our leadership team, with responsibility for managing the business support functions and staff. You will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring our performance data is robust and embedded at the heart of service provision. While experience in youth justice is not essential, we are looking for someone with a background in a similar business or performance role within the public, private or voluntary sector. You will be highly numerate, have excellent IT skills and have experience with working with operational databases/spreadsheets and qualitative and quantitative data. Your experience, insights and expertise around performance reporting and information management will help maintain our national reputation as a high performing service. An understanding of statutory returns and inspections is desirable. The role is crucial in providing the service with insight into the children we work with to ensure that we know our children well. This in turn shapes our services and influences changes in practice.
