Full Job Description

We are looking for a Business Stream Director to join our Cementation team to look after English Regions and Wales. The Business Stream Director - English Regions & Wales will identify, price, promote and deliver geotechnical solutions, combined offerings and turnkey solutions to the internal and external market.,

  • Develop a clear three-year rolling business plan for the English Regions & Wales Business Stream that aligns with the Company aspiration.
  • Manage a team of Managers and staff within the English Regions & Wales Business Stream.
  • Facilitate the management of employee relations within the team, coordinating processing of investigatory and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure adequate human resources to undertake the work of the English Regions & Wales Business Stream.
  • Ensure all enquiries and tenders are undertaken in accordance with the Skanska/Cementation governance processes.
  • Will be required to lead Preconstruction and Business Development responsibilities in securing new opportunities in existing and new markets with an additional focus on identifying, securing and delivering combined offering works as part of the piling and ground engineering offerings.
  • Key client relations management including strengthening current in house business relations and opportunity delivery.
  • Budgets for all work activities are agreed prior to commencement and monitoring during production to ensure on time delivery to the required.

    Planning and organisation skills to be able to be responsible for the efficient operation of a business stream.
  • Ability to clearly communicate your team, managers, and clients.
  • Strong negotiation skills to agree and implement contract terms and conditions.
  • The ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Identify carbon reduction savings in our processes to meeting our Net Zero Carbon target.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Geotechnical engineering and piling disciplines.
