  • The role of a Buyer :
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies through sourcing alternative products and services.
  • Continuously challenge suppliers to innovate and optimize costs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactively communicate any service changes, price adjustments, shortages, or changes to the operations teams.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability and ethical sourcing.

    Ability to develop and implement long-term procurement strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and prices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in using data to identify trends, analyse costs, and make informed decisions.
