CAD Technician

You would be based from home but will be required to go to our Reading office for two or three days a week as required. We would expect you to be travelling UK wide when necessary for meeting and/or site visits. About you

• To assist the design team in the preparation/delegation of proposal drawings for the tendering and marketing of VL applications (V-Deck and FastBeam).
• To produce finalised design drawings for use by the business to the required codes and standards for designated VL projects as required by VL contracts under the direction of the design team.
• To assist with the coordination and production of required VL design drawings and VL construction shop drawings as per Construction program requirements.
• To provide support to the operations team and site personnel, as appropriate, of production of as built information.
• To assist completion of Quality Assurance documentation for designated design activities as per VL procedures and as guided by the Engineering Manager.
• To assist in production of approval in principle (AIP) and all other document that will facilitate design development of projects
• Develop competency as a BIM Engineer.
• Provide support to marketing activities.
